About Us

Hi! I'm Jenni, I am the owner and sole operator of JASKA. The name JASKA comes from a play on both my initials and my husband, Stuart's. He is an amazing supporter of my little business and you can often see him helping me set up and pack down at markets. Originally I was called JASKA JUNIOR as I made girls clothing and my two beautiful daughters were my fantastic and enthusiastic models for many years. As they got older and were unable to fit into my girls size range, I dropped the JUNIOR and dabbled in women's wear for awhile but struggled to find unique fabrics at a reasonable price that other people weren't using and there was also a lot of people doing the same thing really. I was looking for MY UNIQUE PRODUCT. As a lover and avid collector of bags, I also started to design some clutch bags for women and make them in various fabrics but still when I went to markets, everyone was using the same fabrics, just making different things with it. Around this time I also started doing something again I hadn't done since school but loved, PAINTING!!!! From here evolved what is JASKA  today and currently(I like to change things up every now and then). I use an eco-friendly, 100% solvent free fabric ink to paint on both canvas and linen. The ink is also made right here in Australia! Once the ink is dried, I heat set it, name my artwork of course and then set about cutting it up to make unique, one of a kind bags and accessories. I also do artwork suitable for hanging. I have entered a few art shows and have completed commissions for various people over the years

What I love about my business is that every day I can do something different. One day I can be painting, the next I could be sewing or even designing new products. I love the diversity of it!!

I hope you like looking at my website and please contact me if I can help you with any design queries or questions.

Smiles
