Jenni Armstrong

Hi! I'm Jenni, I am an artist living in Melbourne (Naarm), Victoria, Australia. I live with my husband, two adult daughters and two cats in the leafy suburb of Eltham. I loved art classes at school but was really put off by a rather "mean" art teacher. I still struggle with the concept of art being marked, given a score. In my eyes, art is all about self-expression. What you create may not be everybody's cup of tea but that is the beauty of it, you are using whichever medium you choose to create and express yourself. 

After 7 years of painting but then cutting it up to make bags and accessories I decided to leave my work as actual pieces of art and try my luck at selling it through various avenues. I LOVE painting!!!! It is my happy-place, it lets me forget about all the goings on around me for a while and to just create. I consider myself to be in the very early stages of my art career and love just exploring all types of styles and techniques. At the moment I love creating geometric abstract art but, in the future, who knows, that may change and off I go on another tangent. 

When I'm not at the easel, I work full time helping my husband run a bike shop. I LOVE travel and in particular, love India!!! That's another gig I have, taking small groups of primarily women to this amazing country to show them what it's all about.
